Studio Policies and Etiquette
Session info
Sessions are by appointment only so each client receives full attention. All information is kept confidential.
Your scheduled appointment includes time to discuss updates to health history and treatment goals; your hands-on time may vary slightly. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to your first session to ensure adequate time for a thorough intake, and to familiarize yourself with our building.
Please silence cell phones so the space stays calm and restorative. I also ask that cell phones are not used during the session for any reason other than emergencies, or for previously agreed upon reasons. To support those with sensory sensitivities, avoid heavy perfumes or strong scents when possible.
Scheduling & Cancellations
Cancellations may be made up to 24 hours before your session time. After that, I ask that you contact me via phone, text, or email as soon as possible to notify me of cancellation; All appointments require a deposit that is 25% of the amount of the full session price. The deposit will be collected at the time of booking through the online portal. This deposit will go towards the total cost of your massage. Please note that if you need to cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, the deposit will be non-refundable, except in the event of illness or emergency.
If you are running late, please call or text me as soon as possible to let me know. Running late will result in a shortened session. If you are 20 or more minutes late after your scheduled time, I may cancel the appointment, and your deposit will not be refundable.
Payment & Refunds
The remainder of the balance for your session is due at the time of service. I accept card, cash, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. If you cancel your session before the 24 hour window, I will refund 100% of your paid deposit via square payments. Please note that the refund may take up to 14 business days to be issued to your card.
Massage for minors
Parents must stay in the room with any child under the age of 18. A written consent must be given by a parent or legal guardian in order to receive massage. All clients have the option to remain fully clothed; soft, comfortable athletic-wear with an elastic waistband is generally recommended. Clients may also disrobe to their level of comfort, and will be professionally and modestly draped at all times to ensure client comfort and safety. Children are never rushed into treatment — ONLY they decide when (and if) they are ready to receive touch. Consent from the client may be revoked at any time and modifications can be made at any time.
Health & Safety
Please reschedule if you are sick, contagious, or recovering from illness. Massage with NeuroBloom Bodywork is always safe, professional, and therapeutic. I reserve the right to pause or end a session if safety, respect, or comfort is compromised. I may also deny treatment to anyone whom I believe massage would not be beneficial. Any requests, suggestions, or actions of a sexual nature will not be tolerated and will result in the immediate termination of the session. Payment for the scheduled session will still be required, and future services will not be offered.
Prenatal massage
When filling out your intake form, please disclose how far along you are and your pregnancy health status. If your pregnancy is considered high-risk or you have a condition that may affect the safety of massage, consult your prenatal healthcare provider before booking. I may request confirmation from your provider or postpone treatment when appropriate. Please notify me before your appointment if your health or pregnancy status changes. If you are experiencing vaginal bleeding, painful or regular contractions prior to 37 weeks, severe abdominal pain, severe headache, sudden swelling, or other concerning symptoms, please seek urgent medical care.
